Current Creative Themes and Approach
Founded: 2016 - Ghana through NYC by Lex Mensah
Mission: Spotlighting a culture and livelihood built on self awareness, self actuality, understanding of personal power and perceptions surrounding the self. Drawing up a community of doers who’ve already navigated these themes. We wanna have fun, but fun to us is constant enrichment and affirmation of oneself. Prioritizing genuine care for yourself attracts experiences, energy and thought forms that also prioritize our care. In a sense that self centeredness leads to strength in numbers. Everyday we do the work. Simply put. Every interaction regardless of depth, adds and projects value (if we choose for such). After all we don’t really know what goes through the mind of others, or what they can take from a small moment with you. But whatever that is, there’s power in taking it into account.

Perspective shakes things up. You may look at yourself from an angle that doesn’t quite encapsulate the value you hold or exude. The goal really is to put more people in environments, clothing and mindsets that shift their perspective on themselves and their surroundings: (other people, ideologies, habits, relationship with our world and the people around us, life: to be alive)
We want to promote being present. Through our use of attention to flow. We’ve spent too much time, in our own lives and through history building boxes to live in. Crafting structures and identities to define our habits by. It feels tired. Everyone seems more tired, out of balance, and under pressure. To be something, live someone, be remembered in some way, ‘go viral’. It’s a bit sick if you look closely at it.

Let’s call this a cultural medicine. A MOMENT. To step away from the constant narrative of whatever your world is. And just shift particles. Some people don’t like the beach but you can be whoever you are at the beach. How often do you go to a beach and see someone you know? Not much right? But every time you get to the beach you meet yourself. We’re just alive, shifting particles and I wanna take it a day at a time. A day is a long time when you’re at the beach.
A day is a long time when you’re at the beach.
Design Approach: Augmenting Design practice through sensory and extrasensory cues. Allows for a more synchronous and almost magical perception of the moment. Slowing things down a bit more and allowing for higher thinking, higher action and more strategy.

Art direction: Through a process of multiple considerations and thinking, loosely bound by initial directives we invite/explore a more profound experience.
Narratives build themselves sometimes, being a worthy observer of all things possible changes our notions on what’s possible.

Plant a seed. Much of our strategy at this point in March 2022 is experimental. We’ll keep doing things we wanna do and flow with the energy and internal cues to draw up more data.
